La Chatterie Rexcat : Notre histoire de Cornish Rex

Dès le premier contact avec cette race, nous sommes tombés en amour! À première vue, le Cornish Rex (ou Rex de Cornouailles) a un air très particulier avec ses grandes oreilles, son profil romain, sa queue en forme de fouet et ses pattes arrières ressemblant à celles d'un lapin. Très enjoué et acrobate, il s'amuse à courir partout et à faire des sauts de kangourou. Son côté social et affectueux est tellement présent qu'on a l'étrange impression que c'est un chien dans un corps de chat! De plus, il a l'avantage de ne presque pas perdre son poil.

Il est donc impossible de lui résister et c'est pourquoi nous avons décidés de démarrer une chatterie familialle à Laval (Québec, Canada) avec des Cornish Rex de très grande qualité, enregistrés CFA (Cat Fancier Association) et CCA (Canadian Cat Association). Le respect des standards de la race est très important pour nous et c'est pour cette raison que nous nous spécialisons seulement dans cette race. Nous sommes membres du CCA et du Club Félin de Montréal.

Notre histoire a donc débuté avec Ladydot (femelle calico arlequin) et Mystica (femelle calico arlequin) toutes deux enregistrés CFA et CCA.

Nous ne voulons surtout pas oublier Francine de Terrebonne qui a partagé son amour du Cornish Rex avec nous!

EXPOSITION: BYANKA sera présentée à l'Exposition Féline de Laval du Club Félin Occidental le 16 juin (Manège Militaire au 2100 Boul. Le Carrefour, Laval).

The Rexcat Cattery : A story of love at first sight

As soon as we saw the Cornish Rex, we fell in love! At first sight, the Cornish Rex looks very peculiar, with its large ears set high on its head, its Roman nose, its whip-like tail, and its very long and fine legs. The Cornish Rex is very playful and acrobatic, and enjoys running around, doing kangaroo jumps. It's a very social and affectionate breed, so much so in fact that one would think it's a dog in a cat's body! Moreover, the Rex Cornish has a very short curly coat, which means the shedding is minimal.

We fell for this cat breed instantly, so we decided to start a family cattery in Laval, Quebec (Canada) with some top quality Cornish Rex, registered with the CFA (Cat Fanciers' Association) and the CCA (Canadian Cat Association). Compliance to the breed standards is of the utmost importance.

And so our cattery history began with Ladydot and Mystica, two harlequin calico females registered with the CFA and CCA. We are a proud member of the CCA.
